How do I book an appointment?
For your convenience, we provide an online booking system. You can book your appointment online via an app 24/7
through HotDoc. Alternatively you are always welcome to call us to make an appointment by calling our friendly reception

What do I need to bring with me to my first appointment as a New Patient?
Please bring your Medicare card, Pension Card, Health Care Card, Veteran Affair Card,Private Health Insurance Card (if applicable).

If I don’t have a Medicare Card can I still see a doctor?
You can see a doctor without a Medicare card. However, you’ll be expected to pay a private fee which must be settled on
the day you receive medical treatment.
Do I need a long consult?
Our standard consultation is 10-15 minutes which allows discussion for one matter. Please advise our reception staff when
making your appointment if you require a long appointment time e.g. presenting with multiple health issues to discuss,
procedures, medicals.

Do I need an appointment to get a script?
Yes. Our practice policy is not to provide scripts without a review.

Can I get my records transferred to/from a practice? If so, how do I do this?
Please advise our reception staff should you require your records to be forwarded to another health care provider. Your medical record is a CONFIDENTIAL document. It is practice policy to maintain the security of personal health information at all times. Access to information is only granted to authorised persons. Medical records are kept for 7 years from your final attendance as required by law.

How often should I get a pap smear test?
Cervical screening has changed in Australia. The Pap test has been replaced with a new Cervical Screening Test every five years. The latest medical and scientific evidence shows that having a Cervical Screening Test every five years is just as safe, and is more effective than having a Pap test every two years. When do I need my prostate examined?
From 2020, all Australians aged 50 to 74 will be offered the test free every two years. Some people have known risk factors that put them at increased risk. If you do, your doctor will talk to you about regular surveillance. For more information Visit: https://www.prostate.org.au
What vaccinations do I need before travelling overseas?
When travelling to foreign countries they often require you to have vaccinations before arrival for your protection and theirs. Do I need to fast before a blood test?
Some blood tests will require you to fast beforehand. In these cases, your doctor will instruct you not to eat or drink anything, except water, in the hours leading up to the test. Fasting before certain blood tests is important to help make sure that your test results are accurate. How do I get my test results?
Test results will not be given over the phone. When you have an investigation performed, it is essential to arrange follow up appointment so your doctor can discuss the results.
